Things To Do

As previously mentioned, the owners have visited the area for more than thirty years and yet they still find new attractions and places to eat. Here are a few suggestions, but there are many more which can be found in the information folder in the villa.

For the beach, a short walk takes you to the sandy patrolled beach at Luz where there are various water sports available during the summer months. A short 15 minute drive away is  Meia Praia at Lagos for great wind surfing or in the opposite direction the small and intimate beach in the fishing village of Salema.  Conveniently, you can also walk from the villa to Burgau along the cliff tops to visit the beach bar, restaurants, cafes and shops.  If your interest is golf there are several courses within a ten to thirty minute drive, Espiche, Belevista, Parque da Floresta Vale da PintaPalmares.

Activities for the family

In Lagos and Luz there are organised boat and or coach trips from dolphin watching to cave exploring. There are smaller companies (Chico on the Luz beach) who will take a small party out on more private trips.  A family tradition for the owners is a trip to Slide and Splash which can be visited by car or organised coach trip.  A must for everyone, young or old and for those with younger children the Zoo Marine and Lagos Zoo are great trips. Visitors to the area have also enjoyed a jeep safari, nature works, horse riding and the Go-Karting at the Autodrome near Lagos which is about twenty minutes by car.  The latter being home to it's First Formula One (F1) Grand Prix in 2020.

There are lots of places and pubs to eat at in Luz and more in Lagos and a family favourite from a long time ago, was/is the night markets in Lagos.  Much more Information is available in the villa and various social media sites but this should help meantime.
